We bring forth a fine interplay of designs & techniques, be it traditional or contemporary, on natural or manmade materials to create aesthetically appealing, functional and decorative products catering to areas of life and preferences which the industry and mass production can never satisfy.
Our approach to design is the very essence of all our crafts and is not only intuitive & imaginative but also rational & systematic. While designing a product we consider the aesthetics, functionality, economics and social dimensions as well. The process involves considerable thought, research, modelling, prototyping, trend spotting, adjustment and redesign if necessary before an object sees the light of the day.
Context dependent experience and common sense thinking of the designers take centre stage in the entire process of creating and crafting a product.
Our approach to design is based on the use of the artefact, but for custom designed products we focus on the needs, wants and limitations of the user as well.
Craft is traditionally defined as a branch of profession that requires some particular kind of Skilled Work. It is something which is in between “An Art” (which relies on talent) and “A Science” (which relies on knowledge)
At TRANSCENDS, the art of conceptualising a product and designing the same works in tandem with the Science of using state of the art equipments to process suitable materials be it Wood, Paper, Metal, Fabric, Acrylic, Solid Surface for crafting decorative products for everyday use or for producing objects for those special moments, occasions or spaces.
We challenge the uncontested run of consumerism and mass production today; by perspectives which involve thoughtful creativity and uniqueness, through the visual languages and resources of design which are intellectually stimulating and refreshingly creative.
